BOOKING PROCESS
Lessees must complete a one-time agreement to gain access to the online booking calendar and studio information. Once your agreement is received, the password to the online calendar will be sent to you. Once you have a password, click the “Reservations” tab, enter the password, pick the date of your choice, complete payment, and the studio is yours.
rental costs and payment
The studio rental fee is $65 for 1 hour ($65/hr rate), $110 for 2 hours ($55/hr rate) and $55/hr when 2 or more hours are booked.
We require electronic payment in-full at the time of booking.
Cancellations and reschedules
All appointments are non-refundable. Appointments can be rescheduled anytime up until 24 hrs before your scheduled session.
Reserved or rescheduled hours can never be broken up into separate reservations.
Check in and check out
You will receive the studio lock box code 24 hours (and reminded 4 hours) before your scheduled rental. You will unlock the lock box with the code and use the key to let yourself into the studio.
The studio shares an entrance with 2 other creatives. Depending on your photoshoot time, they may enter or exit through the shared door.
For security purposes, there is a camera near the entrance of the studio. Your arrival and exit will be captured on camera to keep track of your departure time.
At check out, turn off all lights, remove trash, and return the studio key to the lock box.
Before you leave, it would be beneficial to take a few photos or quick video of the space for your own records, in case damage is reported. That way, you would have documentation of the state of the studio as you left it.
Cleaning and damage
If you leave the studio a mess or damage anything, you will be responsible for covering costs.
Lessee agrees to pay a $200 fee in the case that Studio NE and/or bathroom keys are lost or damaged.
Lessee agrees to pay a $145 non-refundable fee in the case that they tear, crumble or in any way damage the seamless papers. Those rolls are expensive to ship to Saratoga. Damage is defined by Lessor.
studio rules
Paper rolls are not to be removed from the wall mounts. Do not cut or tear the seamless papers.
Do not tape anything on walls, it peels the paint. The blue painters tape is to be used but not duct tape. Also do not use tacks or nails.
No glitter, confetti, smoke bombs, body oil, flour or loose materials allowed in the studio.
No drugs of any kind.
Boudoir photography is not allowed, as the studio shares an entrance with 2 other creatives who may or may not exit or enter through the studio during your reservation.
Only occupy the space during your paid reservation time. Set-up/take down time takes place during your rental time.
Capacity
Studio NE is roughly 20’ x 25’ and 500 square feet. We recommend keeping your production + client group small, like our beautiful space.

Soundproofed walls for podcasting. Please be considerate of our neighbors as the walls in this historic 1902 building are not sound-proof.

No. The space is easy and intended to use as a natural light studio thanks to the daylight that pours in from our large, south-facing windows. You are encouraged to bring your own lighting kit if that’s your style!

With large, south-facing windows, Studio Northeast is bright and filled with daylight from sunrise to sunset. Sun will shine through the windows, creating window pane shadows in the afternoon when it is not overcast.

Studio NE is at 368 Broadway in downtown Saratoga Springs where parking can be tricky, especially during Track Season. Please plan accordingly so you don't miss a minute of your reserved studio time. We recommend allotting 30 extra minutes to yourself and your clients for parking and walking to 368 Broadway, so you/they do not feel rushed.
If there is no appointment after yours, you will be billed for any extra time you take in 15 min increments, using security camera footage to determine this and bill your card on file automatically.
Here are our recommended parking spots:
Putnam Street Parking Deck (3 minute walk).
Putnam Street Parking Lot (3 minute walk).
CVS Parking Lot (8 minute walk). -
Yes, there is a shared bathroom at the end of the hall from Studio NE. The bathroom key is hanging next to the door.

Unfortunately, not yet. There is no private changing room directly in the studio but you or your client’s can change in the common room or int he bathroom right down the hall.
Please be advised that there is a security camera in the studio.

If you arrive late, your time does not automatically get extended. The studio often has bak-to-back bookings so you will need to vacate by the end of your session window.
